The capstone project was an interesting experience overall. It was fascinating to see all the progress through the beginning till the end. We all shared our ideas of what game we would want to design and create for the two semesters, which the whole process happened so quickly. Everyone got split into groups and I was wondering what game I would be working on for the next 2 semesters. When I heard the concept of our game, at first I was not sure if I was fit for this game because I lacked in 3D art skills and I mainly focused on 2D art styles, so the transition from 2D to 3D was a little bit rough.

I assigned myself as a part of the art team and I got to design simple NPC’s and create simple animations with them. At first it was a little bit rough, but I had previous experience with Blender and I got through making some simple animations with the help of tutorial videos.

I am very thankful to be part of the group that I was in because anybody from our group was able to help and go through any issues that I was experiencing. It was nice to know that everyone was really motivated to work and get the game working at its finest. Towards the end, I had to go through something that I never wanted and it threw me off for the whole semester and I feel bad not being able to contribute to the team. In the end, I wanted to do more but I sort of hit my limit with Blender and the 3D aspect of art.
